We All Have Found Healing in Nature
-
Veterans
Providing veterans a path toward healing through nature is a primary motivating factor in establishing HTH.
As a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, our founder and executive director, John Aaron Stark, is familiar with the rigors of military service and the physical, mental, and emotional sacrifice that military service requires.
During his service, Mr. Stark provided legal representation to many service members experiencing a wide range of trauma from combat-related PTSD, to sexual trauama and abuse.
HTH is committed to serving veterans and providing practical and effective paths towards healing as a core part of our mission. -
Trauma Survivors
As humans we all experience different levels of trauma. At HTH we are intimately familiar with the pain and suffering caused by childhood and adult sexual trauma, alcohol and drug addiction, catastrophic accidents, suicide, and combat-related PTSD.
No one individual’s experience can be compared to any other, but we all can experience healing through nature, where we can rediscover our innocence and true authentic self that existed before our trauma and still exists within us today. -
Nature Lovers
Everyone at HTH has a deep connection with nature and has experience profound healing through our connection with nature and the outdoors. We enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, climbing, hunting, fishing, surfing, swimming, birding, and creating art in the outdoors. We are devoted to these activities as part of our self-care, and we’d like to share them with you.
